Magners Light shines spotlight on local styles in Northern Ireland
The search is on to find Northern Ireland's Magners Light Style icons; the people who turn heads and set trends! Magners Light are proud to announce the Magners Light Style Awards in association with the Ulster Tatler who are celebrating their 40th Anniversary.
At the launch of this high profile competition, Nicola McCleery, Magners Light Marketing Manager, said ' We are delighted that the Ulster Tatler has agreed to become our partner for the Magners Light Style Awards 2006 and help us identify and recognise the image-conscious icons across Northern Ireland.
The recently launched Magners Light has taken the style and image conscious people of Northern Ireland by storm, with its premium and contemporary silver packaging it associates an element of style with all who drink it, we think the Magners Light Style Awards is the perfect event to enjoy a refreshing low calorie Magners Light over Ice.
'In our search for style, we are not only looking for nominations of image-conscious icons but, but also for nominations regarding the most stylish bar, restaurant, hair, beauty and independent fashion outlets in your area. We have eight categories which are as follows: Most Stylish Female, Most Stylish Male, Most Stylish Couple, Most Stylish Beauty Salon, Most Stylish Hair Salon, Most Stylish Independent Fashion Outlet, Most Stylish Bar and Most Stylish Restaurant', she explained.
'Also, as one of the judges, I am looking forward to what I believe will be an extremely difficult task - finding the winners in what is being hailed as one of the most stylish places in the UK!' she added.
There are great prizes up for grabs and even if you nominate your most stylish friend or your favourite stylish business you could win a Magners Light VIP Night Out for you and 3 friends in the prize draw! For the winners of the Most Stylish Female and Most Stylish Male awards they will each receive a cash prize of £500 and the Most Stylish Couple will also receive £500 to share. In addition, category winners will each be presented with a suitably stylish memento of the occasion. The Magners Light Style Awards will be presented at one of the glitziest parties of the year - You can't miss it!
Also, speaking at the launch, Lara Salmon, Social Correspondent Ulster Tatler and judge of the Magners Light Style Awards, says, 'We are pleased to have joined forces with Magners Light and celebrate our 40th Anniversary with the Magners Light Style Awards 2006 and search for Northern Ireland's most stylish people and places.
'We have secured some of Northern Ireland's most successful and well-known personalities and style icons including Terry Bradley, Artist, Alison Campbell, Model agency boss & former Model, Ralph McLean, BBC Presenter and Ciaran O'Neill, Photographer to take on the challenging role of judging this high profile competition', she added.
