Magners Light Launch
It was no coincidence that Hollywood & Donnelly chose the long evening of Midsummer’s Day for the launch of Magners Light, a cider that provides all of the crisp, refreshing flavour and natural character you would expect from Magners but with fewer calories.
The longest day of the year was an appropriate time for one of the most glittering occasions of 2006 in the vibrant setting of Belfast’s Potthouse, attended by an array of celebrities from Northern Ireland’s hospitality and entertainment sectors.
Boasting the same refreshing quality as Magners Original and the same strength, Magners Light comes in at just ONE weight-watchers point per bottle!
As Hollywood & Donnelly’s Commercial Director Norman Trotter, told the guests: “Magners Light shares the same quality, craftsmanship and heritage of Magners Original but with less calories !”
The new Magners Light certainly impressed the guests at the launch, which Hollywood & Donnelly Marketing Manager Nicola McCleery said was expected because it had been created to fit perfectly into the lifestyle preferences of the modern world.

The new Magners Light comes in a 330ml bottle, which with a long, silver-foiled neck and silver labeling.
The launch event was the start of a major Outdoor, Press, TV and radio advertising campaign with the theme ‘The Lightest Light’.
