Magners Irish Sessions
The inaugural Magners Irish Sessions tour came to an explosive end on Sunday 16 November at the Borderline in London, with another breath taking performance from Sharon Shannon and her Big Band, along with Irish music stars, Mundy and Damien Dempsey.
The tour began in Newcastle on 6 November and continued throughout the UK from the far reaches of the tranquil Scottish Highlands down to the bustling streets of the English Capital -eight performances in total, at seven unique venues.
With the majority of the sessions sold-out, tickets became hot property as locals and visitors alike packed out the venues and revelled in the outstanding musical performances from some of Ireland's best musicians. From the rousing up-tempo beats of the foot-tapping Irish classics to the more passionate and often moving performances from Damien Dempsey, there was something for every music lover at each gig.
The Magners Irish Sessions tour offered audiences the chance to experience a real intimate Irish Session - lively, passionate, non-stop music that captured the attention of everyone from the first note played. Judging by the noise the crowds made after every song, it was clear that each performance was given the appreciation it deserved.
