Broomieknowe golfers win Magners Championship at Cardrona

Kevin Hastings and Colin Grossart were crowned winners of the Magners Scottish Golf Clubs Championship 2007.
More than 20,000 players entered this year's event for a chance to take part in the regional finals at Inchmarlo, Kilmacolm, Kings Acre and Kings V1, where two players from each club battled it out in the better-ball format to win their place in the final.
The tournament attracted players from over 200 clubs across Scotland, with just 48 qualifying to compete in the grand final which took place at the MacDonald Cardrona Hotel and Golf Resort.

The winners received a marvellous golfing trip to Ireland, the home of Magners Irish Cider.
Magners Scottish Golf Championship Winner Kevin Hastings said: "Considering it was such a cold day, we played well and we're delighted with our score. We were both looking forward to competing in the final having finished second in our regional final. This is a fantastic result and we're off to enjoy some Magners to celebrate."
The runners up included John Spiers and Graham Stannard from Hazelhead in second place and Anthony Ashworth and Les Hilton from Cardrona Golf Course in third.
The Magners brand is widely recognised as one of the main supporters of amateur golf in Scotland.
